For any layperson who wants a refresher course in basic spiritual caregiving, with a special emphasis on visiting homebound church members and serving communion (the Lord’s Supper) to them. As lay members providing the sacrament, you are extending worship to our members who cannot attend in person. This ministry is vital to our oldest members, and it adds great meaning to our visits with one another. We’ll also cover the basic principles in spiritual direction (also known as spiritual friendship or spiritual companionship), in which you provide a kind of “space" in your visits with others so that they can discern the will God has for their lives.
